Sports Committee

The purpose of our committee is to organize, fund, and train our student athletes for interscholastic competition.

Membership provides an opportunity to work with our youth in a sports environment. Coaches that help teach the importance of good sportsmanship and the correct priority for sports are always in need. You get to see the growth of children as they learn the various disciplines they are taught. The wide eyed smile of an athlete who gets their first hit, or basket is not soon forgotten.

Some of the positions in which you may serve are coaching, time-keeper, score keeper, and concession stand operator for all the gym events to raise funds for the sports program. An annual awards banquet is held to recognize our student athletes.

The opportunity to work with children and help them learn the importance of teamwork is very gratifying.
