Religious Education Program

The purpose of the Religious Education Program is to assist in one's knowledge of God, growth in faith and an understanding of and appreciation for the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The program is primarily concerned with students who are in grades 1 -11.

With the understanding that the parents are the primary educators of their children in areas of faith and morals, the classes are designed to affirm and support the efforts made at home. The curriculum in all grade levels is in accordance with the Diocese of Buffalo Department of Catholic Education and is designed to assist parents in developing a Christian way of life according to the teachings of the Catholic Church.

The program depends on members of the parish who have an active Faith to volunteer their services in sharing this faith with the younger members of the parish community. The catechists are offered the opportunity to attend classes for background information and personal growth and are also given practical instruction and guidance for their classroom experience.
