By proclaiming the Word of God, our mission is to strengthen the faith of the Christian community assembled at a place of worship in such a way that they will eagerly desire to spread the Word of the Lord wherever they go.

Membership allows the privilege of striving to make the Word of God come alive by proclaiming it before the Christian community. It also provides a means of developing your own spirituality and personal relationship with God. Membership opens a door for a layperson to be in the service of God.

A lector serves as an instrument of God's grace. They also serve the people of God by proclaiming the Word of the Lord to them.

Not everyone is called to this ministry. Those who are will know by the desire in their heart as prompted by the Holy Spirit. If the desire is gifted to you, do not ignore it but rather listen to the spiritual calling and become a lector.
