Advocate for the Disabled

Our purpose is to include all members of the parish community in parish activities such as Worship and Social Events. Our members include those of any age and disability.

The parish desires to provide opportunities for all its disabled members. Depending on their challenges, disabled persons can do readings, serve as Eucharistic Ministers, Choir Members, and participate in prayer lines.

Possible services provided by our group are: interpreters for the deaf; accommodate persons in wheelchairs at services, hallways and lavatories; provide access ramps and elevators; large print and Braille printed materials.

We are always in need of skilled persons within the parish community such as interpreters, medical and educational personnel, craftsmen, and anyone with a skill or experience to assist the disabled.

To further assist those with special needs, Catholic Charities has an "Office of Pastoral Ministry for Persons With Disabilities."
