Eucharistic Ministers

Our ministry is to assist with the distribution of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ to our brothers and sisters.

Due to the shortage of priests, the Second Vatican Council gave lay people the honor and privilege to assist the parish priest with the distribution of the Eucharist.

There are other areas that the Ministers are active in. They distribute Communion to the homebound every week. They also repose the Blessed Sacrament in the adoration chapel.

Formal training sessions are held at Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora on the second Saturday of each month. Qualifications are: You must be Baptized, Confirmed, and if married, it must be within the laws of the Catholic Church. You must call the rectory to register. Practical training takes place in our parish church.
