Adult Servers

We serve by assisting the priest celebrant at funeral liturgies. This relieves our regular servers, and precludes the loss of time away from school.

Membership and service is the final tribute that can be paid to the deceased members of our faith community. Assignment is made from a roster of available members. The number of times an individual serves is obviously dependent upon the number of funerals celebrated during the course of the year.

The servers prepare the church and altar for the funeral liturgy and if necessary may be required to perform the scriptural readings. This ministry is targeted at retired seniors who might have the time to participate. Men and women are invited to join.
